2011 Six Pillars Century-Blackwater Bicycle Tour Character Counts Mid-Shore  

6:00 a.m. Check in begins at Great Marsh Park, Cambridge, MD. 21613. This bicycle tour starts at Great Marsh Park in Cambridge.  The majority of the ride is through the picturesque Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge.  4 ride choices, including a 11 mile family ride, a 37 mile fun and fitness ride a 56 mile Ironman Eagleman 70.3 Course, and a 100 mile Century Course.  Rain or shine and the cost of registration is $55 through March 31, and $65 per person through May 1. Beautiful weekend coming

After the rough storms pass today, Delmarva is in store for a picture perfect spring weekend.  Why not get out and about and enjoy it?  There's a lot going on this weekend from the shad festival in Vienna to the grand opening of Emily's Produce to a couple of conservation events in idyllic settings to a couple of flower fairs.  Check out the list of events in and around Dorchester County for all that's happening.

Price of gas got you down?  Plan for a day of fun around the errands you need to run anyway.  If grocery shopping is one of those errands, take a cooler with ice to keep your refrigerated items cold and make the grocery shopping one of your last stops.
